Now, yeah, they could've turned a server on for reviewers to hit, but I know that a lot of times it seems like the multiplayer "reviews" in Day 1 (or pre-release) reviews always tend to be weak and consist of the same thing: "It seems okay, but it was hard to find games and we ended up playing against the same people and I sucked/rocked all the time. Apparently, reviewers would've only been able to review a third of the game (single player) and no MP or the SnapMap stuff, which they're touting pretty heavily. What I don't understand is why Bethesda didn't send out review copies, as that usually suggests a bad game.ĭidn't want to kill their pre-order metrics, probably.
